@CHIKANO
It's not really a tantrum. I have read every mail sent out and most of them are just friendly reminders. But sometimes the directors or CEO needs to be stern on making sure that the alliance chat is not used by Dust players for the time being. Currently the alliance chat is strictly for use by Eve Online players only until further notice. Besides, the IVY LEAGUE alliance relies on that channel for putting together fleets. To clutter it up with random players posting LFS or RF1 on the channel will not help the alliance in any way except be annoying especially considering that the alliance is rather large. |

About three months at this point I believe. But I'm not a director. I'm an instructor, but far from being a director. |

D-Uni has some solid, entry-level players out there. I rarely regret squadding with those dudes.
It was your mistake. An honest mistake, due to a lack of etiquette knowledge. A man would admit his mistake, apologize, and move on.
**** happens.
Why is it such a problem to post something in Alliance Chat? Maken Tosch wrote:@CHIKANO

If they really are communicating to each other in this way, then why do they even pay attention to what the DUST players say? And in my alliance if a Dusty directly talks to an EVE player, then they will most likely respond politely.
Keep in mind that the policy might get changed in the future if the Eve-Dust integration becomes more meaningful in a way that encourages Eve and Dust players to use the alliance chat. But that decision will be left to the directors and CEOs of Eve-Uni and Dust-Uni. |

You don't have to put it like that. Overall, the vast majority of the IVY LEAGUE alliance is practically Eve Online corporations. The alliance chat could become useful if, as an example, faction warfare gets overhauled and then perhaps privileged Dust players can call in some help from above for a faction match. Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see. |

STEALTH HUNTER ZERO wrote:Would it really be too difficult to just do something similar??? Then you have no need to tell people not to post in a certain channel... simply because they won't be in it at all if its for EVE use. I mean its really rather hilarious that you limit players from looking to squad up with alliance members since your too lazy to create a channel for exclusively for important information and EVE side war planning.
I know several chat channels right off the bat that d-uni directors have established for such a use. Yet we do occasionally see players posting lfs requests in the alliance chat. Thankfully, since we have a good structure in place, not many members commit that mistake. Most of those that do tend to learn really fast not to do it again. |
